Star Force: What Zack Saw!

Plot Synopsis
MegaMan is battling Taurus Fire out in the city, and pretty much defeats him without much effort. The other FMians laugh at Taurus, because although he is strong, he's really dumb. Ophiuchus thinks Taurus's strength can be useful if she told him what to do, and the two of them go disguised as Luna and Bud through out the city to come up with a plan.

Meanwhile the real Luna and Bud are studying after class, and as Bud is heading home, Luna hands him the homework he left behind. The next day however, Bud has forgotten his homework and doesn't remember Luna ever giving it to him. Luna and Bud argue intensely and get away from each other for a while. We see a flash back and find out that what happen was that Luna gave Bud's homework to Taurus who was disguised as Bud. Taurus of course threw the homework away.

While heading home, Zack spots Ophiuchus and Taurus in a restaurant and mistakes them for Luna and Bud. Not sure why they are eating together so quickly after fighting, he decides to follow them. The real Luna and Bud are actually having lunch separately else where and are starting to feel guilty about the argument they had between them.

Ophiuchus and Taurus are trying to come up with a plan on how to flood city by directing the water into the subways. They are scouting out various locations which include an amusement park and a fishing hole, to which Zack follows them from a distance. Zack mistakes their behavior for a date between Luna and Bud and gets real excited that two of his friends have found love in each other. He calls up Geo in the middle of the night to tell him about it, but Geo doesn't seem to give a shit and wants to go back to sleep.

Taurus on the other hand is annoyed by Ophiuchus and figures he can flood the city by pulling the water straight up out of the ground by smashing it. Omega-Xis awakens Geo, and MegaMan is on his way.

Critique
Another setup episode, but I don't think there are any particular strong moments for any of the characters. This is the first episode that has any focus on Zack at all really, and Geo's barely in it at all. Luna's a decent character, but this episode doesn't do much for her one way or the other, and Bud hasn't really had any development at all yet to make him interesting. Then you've got the FMians that are mostly being put in comedic situations, but nothing really all that funny. This episode isn't horrible, it's just extremely mediocre.

Rating: Thumbs down.
