Star Force: Lovely Unbalance

Plot Synopsis
I didn't add the arrow to that screenshot, that's how tacky it really is.

So yeah, Libra has ended up on a TV show in his human form, where he gives contestants questions with two choices they have to pick from. He's done it to find out a way to cause all kinds of negative energy to happen through TV. The other FMians on the other hand think he's just trying to be popular and entertain everyone, so they get mad and decide to attack the show for it's big nationwide broadcast.

Geo's mother is a fan of the show and decides to head down to the filming. Also, Sonia is there as a special guest star, although Lyra recognizes Libra, but she thinks Libra might have grown to like Earth like her. Geo is also aware that Libra is hosting the show, and is quite shocked to see his mother there. If you didn't get the setup yet, the show is gracious to OVERLY POINT OUT WITH A FUCKING ARROW that someone Geo actually gives a shit about is going to be put in grave danger next episode. Understand?

Critique
The further this show gets away from the actual story, the worse off it gets. The writers are trying to develop the FMians a bit, and to some degree it works out in the end, but I have to say I don't think it's very necessary. I think the show already has some decent characters to work with without having to devote much time to the villains, and the more episodic the show gets, the less interesting it is. We're in the mid-season lull right now and we've got quite a few episodes coming up that are just like this one. This show really has great stuff, but not this episode. Interestingly enough, the next season, Star Force Tribes, gets half the number of episodes to work with and actually flows so much better overall.

Rating: Thumbs down.
