Star Force: Mega Man Express and Wolf Woods

This is a combination of the episodes "Rockman Express Mail" and "The Gardner Howls at the Moon."

Plot Synopsis
The first half of the episode MegaMan is fighting some EM viruses at a post office, but some how causes the computers to error and deliver all of the packages to Geo's house. Feeling responsible, Geo decides to deliver all of the packages as MegaMan. Eventually he has to deliver a package to Luna, who is ecstatic to see MegaMan. After he delivers her package, she figures she can see MegaMan again if she orders more stuff to be delivered, and orders hundreds of different items, however, since the computer mistake was corrected, MegaMan doesn't show up to deliver anything.

The second half of the episode, MegaMan is fighting Wolf Woods, who's power is affected by the moon. Seeing a full moon makes him stronger, yadda yadda yadda, but his host, Damian Wolfe is constantly fighting for control of his body. The next day, Damian is gardening for his boss, and Damian and his bosses daughter, Samantha, are smitten with each other. They go shopping, but every time Damian see's a round object, Wolf, the FMian, tries to take over his body.

This is especially bad because the mall is holding a "ball throwing contest" for a new telescope that Geo just happens to be very interested in winning. Unfortunately for Damian, Geo comedically and accidentally keeps throwing the ball directly in Damian's line of sight. The episode ends with Gemini Spark sinisterly hovering around Damian.

Critique
I wouldn't call the first half of the episode boring, although it is uneventful. There's a bit of character development with Omega-Xis and Luna, but it's pretty light and the episode is pretty thin on plot as it is.

The second half of the episode though, is very boring. A good chunk of it deals with Damian and Samantha talking about incredibly banal things as Damian tries to control Wolf's urges. I think it could have been done better, maybe if it was less comedic, but it is very hard to give a crap about characters just introduced as well.

Of the dub, this is the worst episode, but I wouldn't call that the dubbers fault at all. The source episodes just aren't very good, but I'd rather have the dubbers make all the episodes, rather than stick their own quality control over the source material. As a whole, this episode is pretty lame.

Rating: Thumbs Down.
