I guess XEBEC never heard the phrase "too much
of a good thing," and decided to keep on churning out episodes after the season finale. So right after taking out Grave, Lan and his friends have a celebratory feast at Yai's mansion, when a virus infected vacuum sucks up all their PETs. Then, wacky hijinx ensues. Wow, not only are they moving past the climax, they aren't even trying.In the US, the schedule for NT Warrior was all kinds of fucked up, and if you had been following the show as it aired, you'd probably be confused as to why Lan was fighting Grave, then World Three, then takes out Grave, then fights them again, etc etc. I can't say I'm surprised an episode got lost in the giant clusterfuck that is the scheduling for this show.
Content wise, I hear this episode is a bit lame, so maybe Viz media just figured it was no loss to skip it. It's not like anything important happened.
